Jennifer Louis is a visual artist and educator based in West Hartford, CT and the founder of Penny’s Porches and its sister company, Gilded Penny Studio. Created to combine her love of hands-on design with a desire to give back, Penny’s Porches helps busy people transform their porches into cozy, inviting spaces without the stress. How does the styling process work?
Our process is simple and tailored to your space:Submit an Inquiry: Fill out our brief online form with your entryway details, location, and ideal timing.Custom Proposal: We’ll reach out via text or email within 24–48 hours to discuss your vision, review photo(s) of your porch, and provide a tailored design quote.Seamless Installation: Once approved, we handle sourcing, delivery, and full styling right on your porch—no heavy lifting required!
Do I need to be home for delivery?
Optional! As long as you’ve provided a clear delivery location and any notes, we’ll style your porch while you’re out and about.
How do I request a quote and book a styling date?
Simply fill out our online Inquiry Form with your entryway details, location, and preferred time frame! We’ll review your space and follow up via text or email within 24–48 hours to discuss your custom design vision, share a tailored quote, and lock in your installation date.
What payment methods do you accept?
Once you approve your custom design proposal, we will send an electronic invoice directly via email/text. You can pay securely online using any major credit card or digital wallet.
Do you service areas beyond your primary delivery zone?
Possibly! If you are located just outside West Hartford, the Farmington Valley, or Glastonbury, feel free to reach out via our Inquiry Form or email. We are happy to consider requests whenever scheduling and availability allow.
How far in advance should I submit my inquiry?
We recommend submitting your inquiry as early as possible for your preferred season or event! Because every design is custom-curated, availability is limited each month so every entryway gets the attention it deserves.
What happens if it rains on my delivery day?
Light rain will not affect installation and services will proceed as scheduled. In the case of heavy storms, high winds, or extreme weather, installations can be rescheduled at no charge.
How long will the display last?
Display longevity varies based on seasonal weather and natural outdoor exposure. Natural wear, fading, and decay are expected and cannot be guaranteed against. Clients are responsible for basic care of living elements (like watering live plants). Additional refreshes or seasonal haul-aways can be requested as part of your custom package!
